Terms of Service

Atulya (“we”, “our”) operates atulya.life, a service for creating and hosting online memorial pages. By using Atulya, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

You sign in with Google. You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping it secure. You must be at least 18 to create an account.

You retain ownership of everything you upload — bios, photos, videos, tributes. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display that content for the purposes of running the service. You confirm you have the right to use and share the content (especially photos of the deceased and any tributes from family).

You must not use Atulya to host content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, sexually explicit, or violates anyone's privacy. We may remove content that violates these terms with reasonable notice where possible.

Memorial pages on the Free tier are hosted forever — we do not take pages down for non-payment. Paid plans (currently Lifetime ₹2,999 / $49) unlock additional features (anniversary reminders, custom subdomain, more photos, family co-editors). Pricing and features may change with reasonable notice; existing paid plans honour the features purchased.

You may not (a) attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, (b) impersonate another person, (c) use the service to send spam or phishing, (d) attempt to scrape content beyond the public memorial pages, or (e) resell or sublicence the service.

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. If we ever decide to wind down Atulya, we commit to a 90-day notice period and will provide an export of every memorial's content (photos, bio, tributes) before any data is deleted.

Atulya is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹2,999, whichever is greater).

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your account. Continued use of Atulya after changes means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
